Muscular, extracted, ripe.
Invictus is the Latin word for unconquered and suitably refers to Perseus' flagship Bordeaux blend: Cabernet Sauvignon (13%), Merlot (38%), Cabernet Franc (42%) and Malbec (7%).
It's a muscular wine with aromas of bruised plums, cherry and a mix of black and red currents. Following up, tobacco, cedar, dark dusty cocoa and savoury spice notes. The palate is ripe, dense and meaty; spice, cocoa, vanilla and tealeaf flavours roll across the tongue. Despite its impressive extraction, it is balanced and the finish is lengthy.
